Welcome

I’m Volkan. Istanbul-based, mathematics background, Senior Data Scientist & AI Engineer. By day I work on Generative AI, MLOps and large-scale AIOps problems at Logo Yazılım. In the evenings I try to put what I learn — what I try, what I get stuck on, what catches my attention — into writing.

That’s what this blog is for.

What I’ll write about

I’m not promising a single topic. There’s a perspective rather than a theme: whatever I’m learning as an engineer trying to build AI systems that run in production.

Topics on my mind right now:

  • Generative AI & LLMsRAG systems, agents, text-to-SQL, the engineering side of prompt design
  • MLOps — the bridges from prototype to production, pipeline design, observability
  • Software engineering with AI — vibe coding, agentic engineering, what AI assistants can and can’t actually do
  • Data & systems — time-series, anomaly detection, OCR, computer vision pipelines

I might also write about something not on this list. Anything engineering that strikes me as interesting is fair game.

Format

Short-to-medium, personal, experience-driven posts. Not “AI 101” style overviews — the walls I hit while trying something, the conclusions I reach, the open questions left in my head.

Some posts will be in Turkish, some in English — depends on the audience I’m writing for. The 3-part series on vibe coding and agents is in Turkish; this kind of opening note feels more natural in English.

If something here resonates, feel free to reach out on LinkedIn or Twitter.

Happy reading.
